Welcome to our website at Knaphill Junior School. We hope you find greater clarity of information on this site.
At Knaphill Junior School, we believe passionately in developing the whole child and enabling our pupils to be the very best they can be. At the heart of this is a commitment to high quality core skills in English and Mathematics, as these are the foundation stones of learning. We strongly believe that the key to success is enjoyment, being given plenty of exciting opportunities, and developing the skills to tackle difficult challenges. These all begin with the relationships we build at home and in school. Inspirational teaching, engaging lessons and thorough assessments of each pupil are important and Knaphill school and staff work extremely hard to challenge and motivate each pupil to achieve his or her very best.
We provide a broad, creative and balanced curriculum, which inspires children to develop a lifelong love of learning and prepares them for life in modern Britain.
Our Curriculum both inside and outside the classroom actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
We aim to develop enquiring and lively minds as well as the knowledge and skills to enable children to thrive in an ever changing world.
Staff and governors work hard to ensure that children feel good about themselves and develop high levels of self-esteem. If you feel successful, you will be successful!
Childhood is a very special time which no-one gets a second chance to experience; you can count on us to make it as joyous and productive as possible for your child.
Our fantastic PTA work so hard to organise events for pupils to enjoy and raise large funds for valuable resources for the school that benefit the children. The Christmas and Summer Fair are always a huge success along with many more exciting events throughout the year. If you want to contribute, come along to meetings, they will always welcome new ideas and new members. We also have extremely committed Class Reps who provide a forum for parent opinion and help develop further the vital partnership between home and school.
